JOHN STONES admits he has got into the habit of writing comical messages on Erling Haaland's balls this season.
Match balls that is - each time the Manchester City sensation helps himself to another hat-trick.
Haaland plundered his fifth treble of the season as he scored five to help City hammer RB Leipzig 7-0 on Tuesday night and cruise into the Champions League quarter-finals.
The Norwegian now has an astonishing 39 goals for the season - breaking City's record of 38 set by Tommy Johnson in 1929.
And Stones admits Haaland is so good he will write many more messages on the striker's hat-trick mementos.
