Josh wants war with 'gobby' Lara

JOSH WARRINGTON has told Leigh Wood to rip up his clause with rematch Mauricio Lara and give him his shot at revenge first.

Warrington is now even more desperate to face Lara after he claimed the Mexican spat at him amid a ringside ruckus on Saturday night.

Lara ripped the WBA featherweight title from Nottingham star Wood in brutal fashion with a stunning seventh-round stoppage.

'Bronco' floored the hometown favourite with a left hook and Wood's trainer Ben Davison threw the towel in, even though his man beat the count and referee Michael Alexander looked set to let the fight go on.

A row then erupted between Warrington and Lara, who sensationally stopped him in the ninth in 2021.

The Leeds man failed to get revenge in a rematch called off early as a draw due to a cut to the Mexican.
