Modi inaugurated projects worth about ₹11,100 crore for the development of the temple town and its surrounding areas; and those worth about ₹24,600 crore across the state, ranging from connectivity to cleanliness, according to an official release.
Accompanied by civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Modi unveiled the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport to boost connectivity to the temple town.
"Along with the grand and divine temple of Shri Ram Lala, our government is also committed to expanding connectivity in Ayodhya. In this context, with the opening of Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ramnagari Ayodhya Dham, there will be a further increase in the movement of people here," Modi posted on X (formerly Twitter).
