Days after the Mahayuti alliance of the BJP, Sena and Nationalist Congress Party stormed to power in Maharashtra, closed-door meetings and public posturings over the CM's post continued. While the Sena and NCP elected Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar as leaders of their legislative parties, respectively, on Sunday; its ally BJP is yet to start the process to elect its legislative party head.
A BJP leader aware of the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said Union minister Amit Shah is said to have stepped in to resolve the issue and is expected to hold a meeting with Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar on Tuesday in Delhi to take forward the process of forming the government.
