Cong criticises Centre for 'inaction' over Buch

On the eve of the Maharashtra assembly elections, the Congress on Tuesday released a podcast in which senior party leaders criticised the Union government for not investigating allegations against Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch and expressed "concern" over the state of retail investors in India's capital market under her leadership.
In the podcast, party leader Rahul Gandhi questioned how Buch avoided appearing before the Public Accounts Committee (for a performance review of the stock market regulator) and how leaders of the BJP are "defending" her. Congress' media department head Pawan Khera wondered about the implications for the retail investo
