KASHMIRI STUDENTS SAY FORCED TO TRIM BEARDS IN COLLEGE, OFFICIALS CLAIM MATTER RESOLVED

A day after several students from Jammu and Kashmir, studying in a nursing college in Karnataka, alleged that they were asked by the college administration to shave or trim their beards to attend classes, an official from the institute said the matter has been resolved amicably.

"The issue was amicably solved after the students agreed to comply with the directions of the college management," said Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences director Dr Rajanna.
