The firm had provided catering and hospitality services during Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's visit to the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos in January 2024. The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), which had organised the visit, has already paid Rs 3.75 crore of the total dues, but a residue amount remains unpaid despite repeated requests from the company.
The legal notice, sent on August 28, was addressed to several parties including the Chief Minister's Office, MIDC, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, and the WEF. SKAAH GmbH, in the notice, stated that it had offered services beyond the initially agreed scope due to additional demands made during the Davos event.
