LIB DEM CANDIDATE AIMS TO SERVE SOUTH WEST DEVON
CARL EVE
Consensus is target for election hopeful

THE historically safe Conservative seat of South West Devon will, for the first time since being won by Gary Streeter in 1997, be up for grabs at the General Election and Julian Brazil intends to secure it for the Liberal Democrats.

He lives in the village of East Prawle, in the South Hams, and has been leader of South Hams District Council since last May, leading the Liberal Democrats to victory for the first time.

With an honours degree in zoology from Bristol University, the former science teacher also taught himself accountancy. In addition to being a member of the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Authority, he is also an ex-chairman of the Green Lib Dems.
