WING-BACK RELISHING CHANCE TO END POOR FORM AT ELLAND ROAD

Mumba calls on team-mates to travel to Leeds believing that they can win

FEW will give Plymouth Argyle a chance of improving their poor away record when they travel to Elland Road to take on Leeds United, but that is the task facing Bali Mumba and his fellow Pilgrims tomorrow afternoon.

It is just one goal and one point from six away games for Argyle so far in the Championship with both of those coming in a 1-1 stalemate at Queens Park Rangers back in August. Including a 2-0 Carabao Cup defeat at Watford, it is six defeats on their travels for the Pilgrims and to prevent that from stretching to seven, they must stop a starstudded Leeds side sitting third in the table and again among the favourites for promotion.

"At this very moment, I think it is important to stick together and believe in ourselves," Mumba said ahead of the trip to Elland Road. "Obviously there is a lot of noise in the background, which is what you get in football you get criticised and people judge.

"It is a game of opinions and I think that togetherness is what will help us get through this time and we have to try and block the noise on the outside and focus on the team, try and progress and get our away form better.

"I look forward to it and it is always good to play there. I have played there a few times now and the atmosphere is always good. Obviously their fans are always up for it, so it is always an exciting place to go.

"The atmosphere there is as good as we have here, but whatever team is playing at home, you would hope your fans are up for it and they are loud, so it is similar and I feel that is probably what teams experience when they come down here as well. You see how lively their fans are and it is the same kind of energy when teams come down here.
