Beyond the beautiful boutiques of Mount Street - which, for the record, are always worth a visit an affordable high street revolution has taken place.

Step into spring! Your style guide

This spring boasts the most fashionable set of high street collections we've ever seen. M&S is simply booming. John Lewis, in a flap to catch up, has massively improved its design and buy. Walk down Oxford Street and you'll see the newest Zara collection shot by legendary photographer Steven Meisel, ex-Givenchy designer Clare Waight Keller's latest looks for Uniqlo and the COS runway collection, fresh off a New York catwalk. From Reiss's atelier line and Mango's smart linen launch (it's coming soon) to Arket's Phoebe Philo-adjacent green leather bags and Gap's renaissance (Zac Posen debuts his collection as its creative director next month), you don't need to look far to give your wardrobe a flashy update. Here, find the key moods - and plenty of shopping.

Flashes of hot pink

Consider injecting a shot of saturated colour with shocking pink. It was de rigueur on the catwalks during the SS25 season, led in London by Emilia Wickstead and Erdem and in Paris by Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood, who sent out a statement, fuchsia pink skirt, and Miu Miu, which made a paler bubblegum pink iteration. It has trickled down. One star of M&S's widely commended spring collection is a candy pink viscose midi-dress complete with double belt, affordable at £45 - and worth remembering for wedding guest dressing needs. Keep an eye on John Lewis, too; it has a collaboration launching in April that features extremely bold use of pink.
