Autopsy of Manipur victims reveals bullet wounds, schools to remain shut
November 25, 2024
|The Morning Standard
THE Manipur government has scrapped its decision on the reopening of educational institutes from Monday.
In the earlier order, the government had stated, "Normal classes will resume for all schools of the state -- government, government-aided, private and central schools -- from November 25 onwards."
The new order came after the autopsy reports of two women and a child from Manipur's Jiribam district, killed by the "Kuki militants" after abduction, revealed chilling details.
The reports revealed multiple bullet injuries and lacerations on various parts of their bodies, officials said on Sunday.
