To persevere and grow as a couple' is our motto'

Their story began unexpectedly from a train journey in 1976, which eventually blossomed into their marriage on 9 December 1983. The Sarkar couple shared their story, reflecting on their four decades of togetherness.

Uditendu Sarkar shared how the couple first met: "We used to study in different colleges but used to take the same train due to our overlapping college timings. Gradually, we became friends and started liking each other." This led to the couple's marriage, marking 41 years of bond and companionship. Initially after their marriage, they faced financial challenges, but mutual support and determination helped them in overcoming every obstacle.

"Initially, we had financial constraints," shared Sangita, adding, "We used to live in a rented house, and after our son was born, we had to take care of him, along with managing other expenses." Despite these hurdles, it didn't overshadow their relationship; rather, they grew together from these experiences.
