The Scot felt his team made things harder than they needed to be, but said: “Look, we will take it. It was all about making sure we got back to winning ways and if you’d told me this morning we’d win 4-3, I’d have absolutely taken it.
“We can’t seem to quite get an inch in terms of putting together a complete performance but it was just really important we got a win today.”
Ricky-Jade Jones and Cian Hayes put Posh 2-0 up and though Ayo Adeyemo pulled one back, Hector Kyprianou made it 3-1 just after half-time.
Quickfire goals from Will Swan and Tola Showunmi levelled the match but Hayes’ second proved decisive.
