Cooking in LA is a whole new world for Colin

At home, I’d been complaining about the cold weather, the rain, the endless dreary winter (and early spring) of discontent, the slow-growing gardens and drowned lawns. But now I’m in Los Angeles, where rain never seems to be on the horizon and the temperature has been hovering around 30 degrees most days.

I’m not complaining, I hope you understand, just mentioning. Except – still not complaining – it’s just a little too warm if you’re out for long on the merciless sidewalks of this city. And, of course, the sidewalks, like the city, seem to go on forever and it’s really not advisable to try to walk very far at all, though I do keep trying.
