The last few years have been challenging for Gabby Logan. She was having to navigate the menopause when her husband of over two decades, former Scotland rugby star Kenny Logan, was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Now, with Kenny in remission, the couple are facing empty nest syndrome as their teenage twins, Lois and Reuben, 17, prepare to leave home.
Gabby - who married Kenny in 2001 - explains that all the difficulties thrown at them have been tough to deal with, but Kenny has helped her get through the dark times. 'All the things that come along in a marriage and a life are tests,' she tells us. 'He gives me great confidence and strength. It's amazing to walk through life with that person - he's a great man and I couldn't wish for anybody better to have shared my life with.'
Now ready to enter a new chapter, the BBC sports presenter – who turned 50 last month – is feeling positive, admitting, ‘I’m excited about being 50, actually. It feels way bigger than 40. In sport, you get a cap on your 50th, so itfeels significant. I like getting older – I really like some of the stuff that comes with it.’
