Ergobaby Omni Breeze
£184.90, direct4baby.co.uk
One of the main concerns among parents is whether carriers promote healthy hip positioning for baby, but Ergobaby's carriers are ergonomically designed to hold your baby in a natural sitting position. The option shown here can be used from newborn to toddler, with four different sitting positions (inward-facing carrying, front carrying, hip carrying and back carrying). But with lots of strap adjustments, the set-up can take time. Once perfected, however, we were able to secure our newborn baby in the carrier without assistance, and quickly.
The stowable hood provides the perfect screen from the sun and even acts as a privacy shield while breastfeeding (but we've yet to perfect this!). Plus, we love the sizeable front zip pouch that makes accessing a phone, purse or keys easy - all three fit into it, making speedy trips to the shop with baby a cinch.
Comfort rules supreme for mum and baby with this carrier - we've worn it without a single ache for more than an hour of walking - and the breathable Omni Breeze SoftFlex mesh material kept baby cool on warm days. It's a carrier that will quickly become your go-to for days out, walks and even doing the house chores with bubba in tow.
