Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer
Saturday, BBC1 HD, 9.15pm
Although many of the summer’s biggest events have been cancelled or postponed – including the Olympics and the Glastonbury Festival – never fear, help is at hand.
Ex-England striker Peter Crouch is determined to save the day with a new series bringing us a flavour of the music and sporting events lost to the coronavirus pandemic.
He’ll be joined by Taskmaster star Alex Horne, his comedy band the Horne Section, and BBC Radio 1 DJ Maya Jama for a weekly variety show including comedy skits and celebrity guests appearing via video link.
We caught up with the trio to hear about what’s in store…
