COMING FROM A NON-ACTING BACKGROUND, WHAT ATTRACTED YOU TO BEGIN A CAREER AS AN ACTOR?
As a kid, I've always felt that I'm not able to express what I felt. So I think, I subconsciously chose a career, where I'm required to express myself. I have done a lot of bad performances and bad acting and I'm very capable of being a bad performer, who is non-expressive. But thankfully, I've been getting to work with directors who have moulded me and made me express myself. So yes, the freedom to express is one of the major things that got me into acting.
YOU BEGAN YOUR ACTING CAREER IN 2008, WITH THE TV SERIES 'LEFT RIGHT LEFT', HAVE YOU THOUGHT OF GETTING BACK TO THE SMALL SCREENS?
I think all three mediums are different. Television, films and theatre, all three are catered to a different set of audience. Like somebody could maybe be a very good Cricket player, but may not be great at test matches or somebody who plays great test matches may not be great at one-day matches.

Harshvardhan Rane: The Anti Groom
Harshvardhan Rane is an Indian artist working in the Telugu and Hindi film industry. He made his debut in the Hindi film industry with Sanam Teri Kasam. He started his professional acting career with the show Left-Right-Left in 2008/9. His last film Taish brought him a lot of critical acclaim for his portrayal of the character of Pali.
