According to Apparel Exports Promotion Council (AEPC) latest statistics, the first quarter of March 2018 registered a sharp decline of 17.78 percent in exports of Indian Apparel as compared to March 2017. The Indian ready-Made Garment (RMG) exports for the month of March 2018, dropped to the tune of USD 1.49 billion (approx.) in March 2018 against the corresponding month of February 2017, which was USD 1.81 billion (approx.). It witnessed a decline of whopping 18.85 percent.
