Fitness experts Ritu Agarwal and Prosenjit Biswas show Sudeshna Chakravarty how to shape up in time for the festive season.

Diwali Boot Camp

That red sari or lehenga teamed with the sexy choli has been delivered. The matching jhumkas have been bought. Your thumkas have been practised... Diwali is just around the corner. The biggest and most magical all night party across India! So, you are all set...

But sweetie, did you see that little bulge that flops by the side of your lehenga or spills out of your choli? Have you been too busy to exercise? Have you been eating while shopping? Don’t look so mortified. Relax... It’s not too late. Ritu Agarwal, Fitness & Grooming Expert and Owner, Rush Fitness Gym and Prosenjit Biswas, Fitness Manager, Sculpt, compile a list of simple tips to help you nail your super svelte look this festive season.

They aver, “One needs to visit the gym at least five-six days every week. Trying different forms of interval training is also more effective in terms of burning calories.”

EAT SMART, EAT CLEAN

Go easy on the sweets. It is advisable to consume heavy food during the day and keep dinner light. Keep your calories in check. The average body burns about 2,000 calories everyday in addition to the calories you burn when working. Ensure that your calorie intake does not exceed the calories you burn.
