Jacobs Launch 'Seventy For Seventy'

Reading jeweller sets a big target for local hospital with fundraising events throughout 2018

JACOBS the Jewellers in King Street, Reading, have revealed their 2018 70th anniversary celebrations, ‘Seventy for Seventy’, at a Christmas Showcase in front of over 200 customers. They’ve set an ambitious goal of raising £70,000 for the Royal Berkshire Hospital Charity, specifically the Berkshire Cancer Centre, in the 70th anniversary year of the founding of the NHS.

Throughout the anniversary year a series of events and initiatives are planned to raise funds for the much-loved local NHS Trust. A number of events are planned, including a team of ‘Jacobs Jumpers’ who will take part in a charity sky dive in spring. A golf day will be held in late summer, runners will set off in the Reading Half Marathon and the programme will be completed with a gala dinner and party in the autumn.
