located just an hour south of Denver, Colorado, this family home designed by Studio PLOW, drew inspiration from the natural landscape that surrounds it. The area offers incredible, panoramic views of nature with Pikes Peak to the west and towering red rock formations and views of downtown to the south. Architect and interior designer Brit Epperson, founder of Studio PLOW, designed this project from the ground up for her parents, transforming their dream of having a forever family home in Colorado into reality. Hobbies like hiking and camping inspired the owners' vision to live in a home that gave them the same sense of intimacy with nature, and this space reflects the feeling of being nestled in the woods. By using materials directly inspired by or from nature, we created a warm yet neutral palette, which we were then able to adorn with more saturated art, textiles and vintage pieces', says Brit. As if hiking through the forest, the undulation of the view is highlighted across the different windows along the façade. To ensure these vista moments, magnanimous walls of glass open to snow-capped mountains and forested valleys.'
