A couple of weeks just before Easter ’18, I was cleaning up a slab of ‘as cast’ bronze by vertical milling across the first face. It soon became obvious that something was out of line as there were a series of very slight ‘ridges’ across the face detectable by a fingertip and just barely by eye.
