Even those new to the design industry, quickly become familiar with the name Gauri Khan.
For those who known Gauri, as the better half of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, there is much more to her persona. She is an accomplished interior designer and store owner of The Design Cell. Creative, eclectic, visionary and thoughtful, Gauri is well-travelled and incredibly creative. She believes that through travel and keen observation, she has learned that anything was possible and that sometimes you need to be experimental about non-traditional details and materials to create innovative design.
Gauri Khan is known for her trailblazing designs for luxury resorts, exquisite high-end retail shops and lavish residential projects, as well as her affinity for mixing a broad range of styles in her eclectic, sophisticated, yet always comfortable interiors.
Gauri’s trademark attention to details, adventurous use of colours, textures, worldly and historical reference points are hallmarks of her often talked about style. She is also known for her veritable commitment to quality and often travels across the globe in order to track down the world’s most beautiful objects. Gauri continuously draws upon these intercontinental adventures as well as her penchant for sourcing both vintage decorative arts and pedigreed antiquities to create a constantly evolving, yet indefinable style.
