9 Tips To Deal With Office Stress

Take Short Walk Breaks

You might think that staying in one place can get you to finish your work on time but the truth is that your attention span lasts for only 20 minutes. After that, productivity reduces, you get caught up doing one thing for the entire day and end up being super stressed! According to a study in the International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity, those who took 5 minutes brisk walks every one hour were more energetic than those who took a 30 minute walk in the beginning and sat in one place for the rest of the day. Therefore, take small walk breaks in between without staying glued to your desk, as it will refresh your mind and spirit and help you progress forward with your daily to-dos.

Transform Your Desk Into A Powerstation

Whether you spend a lot of time at your desk or not, try making it a spot that gives out positive feelings and helps you envision yourself at your peak. So, when you’re extremely stressed or about to start a long day at work, a motivating setting can remind you what you’re capable of and get you going. For instance, a boring desk with few to-do notes and pretty pictures won’t really talk to you when you’re having a rough day. However, having it decorated with a mood board, positive notes and your achievements is like having a cheerleader seated next to you at work!
