Huawei has gone out of its way to take on Apple and Samsung – has it succeeded? In a nutshell, yes. The Mate 10 Pro, and along with the Mate 10 variant, are the best phones that Huawei have produced.

The Mate 10 Pro is a looker, no doubt about that, and I dare say it looks the most premium of all the current flagship smartphones. It’s also very reasonably priced with all things considered: S$1,098 for the Pro, and if you can live without the OLED display, the regular Mate 10 is priced competitively at S$888. But beauty is merely skin deep; the Mate 10 Pro is a genuine contender thanks to the combination of its proprietary processor, AI, and camera setup.
