HEART OF THE BIGGEST LION MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SURVIVOR

As Boss Mann magazine traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada, we knew that Megan Stough’s story would be inspiring but we were not prepared to meet a person that truly has the heart of the biggest lion, and that’s an understatement.

Megan Stough is a Multiple Sclerosis (MS) survivor out of Las Vegas, officially the City of Las Vegas and often known simply as Vegas, is the 28th-most populous city in the United States, the most populous city in the state of Nevada, and the county seat of Clark County. Although Las Vegas might be high ranking in the country’s population, it houses only one Megan Stough, and she is probably tougher than the entire city combined.

According to Mayoclinic.org, Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a potentially disabling disease of the brain and spinal cord (central nervous system). In MS, the immune system attacks the protective sheath (myelin) that covers nerve fibers and causes communication problems between your brain and the rest of your body. Eventually, the disease can cause permanent damage or deterioration of the nerves. Signs and symptoms of MS vary widely and depend on the amount of nerve damage and which nerves are affected. Some people with severe MS may lose the ability to walk independently or at all, while others may experience long periods of remission without any new symptoms. There’s no cure for multiple sclerosis. However, treatments can help speed recovery from attacks, modify the course of the disease, and manage symptoms.
