“Longing for success in action on earth, they worship Gods for quick success born of action in this world of man.”

Krishna comes down to the different aspects of worship. You can see that same Divinity in a tree, in a bird, in a river, in a mountain, in the sun, in the stars, in the moon, in people, everywhere. Where do you identify that Divinity? Where you recognise it is yours? The recognition of Divinity causes a “Wow!”, awe in you. Awe is the feeling of respect and amazement that is created when something appears once in a while, not every day. You are awed by the sunset or the sunrise because it stays for a few minutes, a few seconds. Beautiful colours just appear in the sky and you say, “Wow!” If it stayed for twenty four hours, you would get so used to it, that you wouldn’t bother. It wouldn’t create a “Wow!” in you. Your identification with Divinity is associated with the awe that gets generated in you. That awe is generated because your mind has come out of a set pattern and has not yet formed another pattern. Between two patterns, the mind goes “Wow!” and that is what miracles are all about. If a miracle becomes a routine thing, it is no longer a miracle. If you can perceive in this world, the universe is full of miracles, but because it is happening every day, it is not creating that awe in us. It is the memory in our mind that blocks us from recognising the wonder in the creation. A child recognises wonder all the time. Children live in wonderland, in a state of wonder, awe!
