IT has been a season of contrasting fortunes for Ryan Christie. Like the rest of his Celtic team-mates, he’s experiencing a difficult period, with the team on a disappointing run of form. It is something that they’re all desperate to rectify.
At the same time, he stands on the verge of collecting his sixth winner’s medal as a Celtic player, with the Scottish Cup final against Hearts looming large later this month. And it was his goal in the semi-final against Aberdeen which put the Hoops on the road to another final.
On the international front, Christie became a Scottish hero when he helped the national team qualify for next summer’s European Championship.
He scored Scotland’s goal in the play-off final against Serbia in Belgrade, and after a penalty shoot-out success for Steve Clarke’s side, it was Christie’s emotional post-match interview with caught the hearts of a nation. With much to look back on and look forward to, the Celtic View caught up with Ryan Christie for our Christmas edition interview…
