The TV presenter sparks fresh fears for his wellbeing as he admits he’s ‘fighting’ an unpaid tax bill
It’s no secret that Eamonn Holmes has been struggling with his health lately, but he has been hiding the reason behind it – a stressful legal battle that could dent his finances. His well being is already a source of concern, and the broadcaster himself has admitted, ‘I just can’t remember the last time I had a relaxing, restorative sleep.’ This latest battle is a worry for friends and family, who fear it’s taking a serious toll on him.
THE TRUTH
After three decades in the business, Eamonn, who turns 59 next month, has revealed that he’s in the middle of a legal war with HmRC and could face a tax bill of up to £2million. no small change for most. The This Morning presenter, who earns a freelance salary from ITV, is paid through his limited company – meaning he pays less tax. while, on the surface, this may not seem like a massive problem, given his success and inevitable financial status, in reality – no matter his worth – it’s a challenging and worrying time. The case will almost certainly be causing the TV star a lot of distress, and be having an impact on his everyday life.
