'Never Complain About Getting Old!'

If you were at home alone, what would you do?

I know some people would say they’d wear a tracksuit or not get dressed, but I always dress and put on a bit of make-up – it makes me feel better. I’ve got bird feeders outside my at, so I’ll sit, with a cup of tea, near a window and note all the birds that arrive. I like to read as well.

What makes you happiest?

I love being with my sons, when we can all get together for a meal. I’ve got a little grandson, who’s ve, and he is the best fun. We go to the park and he loves to draw too, he’s taking after his dad, who’s an illustrator.

What are the best things about getting older?

I’ve got so much more con dence now. I recall the first time I was interviewed for the radio and I could hardly speak, I was so nervous. As the years have gone on, I’ve got over it. I don’t worry about things in the same way.
