Shearing shed handover to wool growers

Shearing sheep made just a little easier for Eastern Cape farmers with donation,

The agriculture sector is critical to provincial economic growth in the Eastern Cape. This is according to Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane, who was speaking at the handover of a shearing shed to the Mbiza Wool Growers Association in Ngqamakhwe, accompanied by Rural Development and Agrarian Reform MEC Nonkqubela Pieters.

He said government had realised how important the agriculture sector was to economic development and so proper infrastructure was being provided to communal farmers.

“Agriculture is very important to the economy of our province. That’s what we preach every day,” he said.

“As the premier of the province, I am proud and delighted about the good work done by the sheep farmers here, which produce a lot of wealth.”
