Bringing a "brutal" year to a close, the King and Queen looked full of festive cheer as they led the royal family in the annual Christmas Day walkabout after church at Sandringham.
But to the delight of the waiting crowds, it was the youngest members of the monarch's family who stole the show.
Chief among them was Princess Charlotte, nine, who along with her brothers received armfuls of gifts from well-wishers, and showed just how much she is blossoming into her mother's adorable mini-me in a beautifully coordinated outfit.
A RETURN TO THE PUBLIC EYE
Making just her eighth public appearance of 2024, the Princess of Wales looked stunning in a forest green coat by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen and matching hat with a bow by Gina Foster, black boots by Gianvito Rossi and striking Daystar Blue Topaz earrings by Robinson Pelham.
Her Black Watch tartan scarf in navy and green chimed perfectly with her daughter's tartan coat in the same colours.
Charlotte's impeccably dressed brothers Prince George, 11, and six-year-old Prince Louis also followed the tartan theme, wearing smart plaid ties with their navy suits, while Prince William opted for blue neckwear.
As they walked the short distance from St Mary Magdalene Church back to Sandringham House, the Wales children were quickly inundated with gifts.
Beaming Charlotte, who walked part of the way with her cousins Mia Tindall and Savannah Phillips, stopped to shake hands and accept presents and at one point happily posed for a selfie with one young woman who had waited to meet her.
GRACEFULLY ACCEPTING GIFTS
Showing she has inherited her mother's beautiful manners and ability to connect to people, the young Princess gracefully took her moment in the spotlight in her stride.
