This was demonstrated by her appearances at the 81st Venice International Film Festival, where the two-time Oscar-winning Australian actress made the red carpets her own in a series of show stopping outfits in support of her star turn in the Apple TV+ series Disclaimer, a thriller in which she plays an acclaimed journalist with a dark secret. It was proof, if any were needed, that at 55 she is in her prime and at the top of her game.
She had anticipated the inevitable interest in her festival wardrobe when asked by a journalist ahead of the event if there'd be any surprises. "I'm going naked," she joked.
