$787M payout for false election claims breeds fear & panic at humiliated network

FOX News' catastrophic $787 million election lies settlement with Dominion Voting Systems has left its reputation in tatters, its top talent feeling betrayed and staffers in open revolt over potential mass layoffs and pay cuts, say sources.

Top stars like Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity and Maria Bartiromo are said to have been humiliated by the network basically admitting it repeatedly fostered blatant lies about the Toronto-based company supposedly helping Joe Biden steal the 2020 presidential election from Donald Trump.

"There are a lot of mortified people at FOX News right now," reveals one network mole.

"For years, they've been airing nonstop right-wing propaganda while claiming to be fair and balanced. Now that facade has fallen, and their reputations and credibility have been crushed."

It's a dramatic fall from grace for the two-faced talking heads.

"A few weeks ago, these people were hosting the highest-rated news shows on cable TV," sneers another source. "Now they're a joke to everyone, except maybe the hardcore base."

And it could get worse! Sources say the sensational nine-figure settlement with Dominion is likely to open the door to similar lawsuits that could ultimately bankrupt the company.

In fact, the network is already facing a second, $2.7 billion, defamation lawsuit from the Londonbased election technology company Smartmatic, which alleges FOX hosts and guests made more than 100 false statements about the firm's alleged attempts to rig the election.

"The Dominion settlement sets a terrible precedent for FOX," notes the insider.
