Lucky Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will soon be waving goodbye to the classroom for another year as they begin their summer holidays. It couldn’t have come at a better time, following six months of setbacks and worries for their family.
And if one thing is for certain, the young trio will be looking forward to several fun-filled weeks – likely spearheaded by doting dad, Prince William, 42, while Kate, also 42, continues recovering from her cancer treatment.
“This year has obviously been incredibly difficult for all of them,” former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond exclusively tells OK! “But, as the picture issued for William’s birthday of them jumping off a sand dune which was taken by the Princess of Wales shows, they are doing all they can to leap for joy at the prospect of things getting better.”
It is this irrepressible sense of fun that the father-ofthree brings with him, which continues to be so important for George, 10, Charlotte, nine, and Louis, six.
“William has shown us all what a great dad he is, making his family his priority no matter what criticism that provokes,” Jennie says. “It’s obvious that his children adore him and see him as the protector he is – just look at the photo of him standing facing the ocean with his arms around his kids.”
And William has never been one to shy away from enjoying a good time. He was recently filmed having the time of his life dancing to Taylor Swift’s smash hit Shake It Off at Wembley Stadium when he and his two eldest children attended the first London night of the star’s Eras Tour.
