PROFESSIONAL POWER The flagship tablet is a superb choice for creative pros worth the price if you need it, but overkill if you don’t
-
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is great for those who rely on extensive software and tools, such as split-screen for multitasking, and can be used for a light gaming session too. In terms of performance, it's an excellent iPad alternative for Android and also perfect for creative pros who can get the most out of it.
However, this 14.6-inch tablet is difficult to recommend for casual users, at least at its current price point, given the extremely large display that can sometimes make it uncomfortable to use, and the fact that its specs, while very capable, can't compete with rivals such as the iPad Pro M4 at a similar price. Despite these minor factors, there are still a lot of great features about the Tab S10 Ultra that make it one of the leading tablets with a stylus for creatives.
SIZE MATTERS
Most people would argue that the bigger the display, the better for a creative tablet, but the surface area of the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is simply too much. Yes, the AMOLED display is gorgeous and stunningly sharp with vivid colours and a 120Hz refresh rate, but to actually hold this tablet in your hands, it feels a little odd, almost like you're holding a glass picture frame and don't want to drop it. It felt much more comfortable and secure to use this tablet when flat against a desk for sketching with the included S Pen stylus, or propped up against something for watching movies rather than taking it on a train journey or visiting a coffee shop.
