PADDY AND CHRIS: ROAD TRIPPING
NEW SUN, 8PM, BBC1 FACTUAL (BOX SET, BBC ¡PLAYER)
It's often said that life begins at 50, but what are the secrets to growing old gracefully? Well, presenters Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris aim to find out in their new BBC1 series Road Tripping.
The three-parter sees them tour Sweden, Greece and Switzerland to discover how our European neighbours are enjoying life in the later years.
The show marks Chris and Paddy's first TV project together since BBC1's Top Gear was rested after their co-host, cricketer Andrew 'Freddie* Flintoff, was seriously injured during filming in December 2022.
Here, Paddy, 51, and Chris, 49, tell us what to expect...
How would you describe the premise of this show?
PADDY Chris and I are at a point where we want to make the most of our years ahead, so we try out as many experiences as we can to learn how some of the oldest people on the planet are doing it.
CHRIS We also have to contend with living in each other's pockets for the duration of the road trip, so it's certainly going to be entertaining!
