We are created by God but are brought up in the secure shelter of the purest form of love that's the Mother. It’s the soothing touch of the mother that makes the child subside to a peaceful sleep. Her love is a shield that protects us from unpredictable perils.

Sumi was always an early riser. The dawn, the beautiful nature, and the hum of the birds fascinated her. She knew her pets were waiting for her. She crept out with soft footfall. Sensing her arrival, Franie and Bunny ran jovially toward her. She played with them. The dawn broke, and the pink light was spreading, making everything look bright. She went in and was greeted by her mother smiling.

"Good morning my Princess"

"Good morning Mama"

"Here, your milk is ready."

Her mother handed her a glass of Badam milk, have this.

She looked at the glass, the content was almost touching the brim.

Holding the glass she asked, "You added more milk for me today."

"Yes, darling, that's for your pets."

She looked at her mother shyly, as she knew she shared her milk with her pets secretly.

She had exams and her teacher declared a prize for the highest scorer in English and Mathematics. A tough and vast syllabus had to be mastered. She got so engrossed that at lunchtime she picked on her meal. Her mother noticed her withdrawal from food.

When it was time for dinner she refused to eat. Her mother asked her to have her dinner, but she was adamant. She was reprimanded mildly for refusing to eat. After finishing her revision she rested her head on the study table, the reminiscence misted her eyes and she fell asleep. When her mother came again to take her for dinner, she found Sumi asleep. She kissed her on her forehead and made her sleep on the bed covering her with her blanket.
