STEVE MORISON resigned as Hornchurch manager last night following this draw with Horsham to become boss of League Two Sutton United.
Former Millwall striker Morison, whose last Football League job ended with him leaving Championship Cardiff in September 2022, announced his departure to Urchins fans in the clubhouse following his last match in charge of the club.
The 40-year-old ex-Welsh international replaces Matt Gray, who was sacked on December 19.
Hornchurch chairman Alex Sharp said: "I'm disappointed to confirm that Steve will be leaving us after six months, following probably the most impressive first half of a season we have ever seen.
