It's a sound purchase...vinyl's back at WHSmith

WHSmith is bringing back vinyl records for the first time in more than 30 years across a raft stores nationwide.

It will sell it in 80 high street shops as it looks to capitalise on its surging popularity among a new generation of music fans.

WHSmith last stocked vinyl in the 1990s, but sales have jumped in recent years as the format has come back into fashion, helped by new releases from artists such as Taylor Swift.
