AN American who fled the UK after being charged with injuring a nurse in a car crash has been arrested by US police.
Isaac Calderon, 23, was detained on Sunday in Texas and was due to appear in court yesterday after an application for his extradition.
He is accused of dangerous driving after a July 2023 car crash left Elizabeth Donowo, 57, unable to walk for six weeks.
Calderon was due to appear at Kidderminster magistrates court on December 1 over the incident on the A4103 near Shucknall in Herefordshire.
