Just weeks after the Princess of Wales finished eight months of chemotherapy treatment for cancer, he paid tribute to his wife, saying: "She's been amazing this whole year."
The Prince, 42, was speaking ahead of his Earthshot Prize ceremony in Cape Town last night, and said Katherine would have watched the awards at home in Windsor.
When asked how the Princess, 42, was doing, he said: "She's doing really well thanks. And hopefully she is watching tonight, so cheering me on.
"She's been amazing this whole year. I know she will be really keen to see tonight be a success." Throughout his time in South Africa this week, he has been seen with a handmade "Papa" bracelet.
The Prince revealed that it was a gift from Charlotte, nine, from their trip to a Taylor Swift concert at Wembley Stadium earlier this year, with Prince George, 11, when they met the singer and her boyfriend, American footballer Travis Kelce.
He said: "This is a, I think, a relic, if you like, from a Taylor Swift concert that my daughter decided that she wanted to create a bracelet for.
