KEIR Starmer told football host Gary Neville he will hit the ground running if he becomes PM as three polls indicated the Tories face annihilation.
The Labour leader told Gary he wants to kick off a decade of national renewal if he wins on July 4.
Speaking to the former England and Manchester United star, 49, in an election broadcast, he said: "We're going to hit the ground running. From the very get-go, day one. First of all stabilise the economy, we've got to get that under control.
"Secondly making sure we bring down the [NHS] waiting lists."
He listed securing our borders, setting up publicly-owned Great British Energy to drive down bills and dealing with antisocial behaviour as priorities.
Mr Starmer also said a further 6,500 teachers will be recruited if he becomes PM in a much-needed boost for schools.
Three polls yesterday predicted Labour would grab a huge majority in the election.
YouGov research of nearly 40,000 voters tipped the party to win 425 seats, with the Tories reduced to 108 - down 257 on 2019.
ACTION
Another poll by Savanta predicted Mr Starmer will get a historic majority of 382 after returning 516 MPs.
