As aide's lies about military details on Signal chat are revealed:

TRUMP'S chumps who chatted on an app about an airstrike before it happened were warned about Signal by a spy agency weeks earlier.

The National Security Agency, the US version of our GCHQ listening station, said in February that Russians can penetrate Signal and spy on chats.

The Daily Mirror's revelation came as The Atlantic magazine exposed posts from US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth giving precise military details, including timings, of the March 15 attacks against Yemen's Houthis.

Yet when quizzed by The Atlantic on Monday about the security breach, he said: "Nobody was texting war plans. And that's all I have to say about that."

President Donald Trump's senior Cabinet have struggled to explain how apparently classified details were on an unclassified Signal chat, to which The Atlantic editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg was inadvertently invited by National Security Adviser Mike Waltz.
