'We want to give our Jay proper send-off'

THE heartbroken mum of tragic British teenager Jay Slater has vowed to give her son the final farewell he deserves.

Debbie Duncan thanked people for their support and encouraged them to donate if they are able to help with the funeral costs and repatriating his body.

She said: "We want to give our boy the send-off he deserves so please do continue to share and support our fundraiser however you can."

Earlier, a Spanish court confirmed the multiple injuries sustained by Jay, 19, were consistent with a fall in a rocky area.

Yesterday, a crack search team hired by his family was seen scouring the ravine where the apprentice bricklayer lost his life.
