SCOTRAIL plans to cut Sunday train services by half due to staff shortages caused by a pay dispute are "unacceptable", a union has said.
The rail operator confirmed it plans to operate between 50 per cent and 60 per cent of services scheduled on Sundays because of a shortage of drivers working overtime.
It comes days after ScotRail introduced a new temporary timetable, with 26 per cent of Monday to Saturday services cut.
