Co-skipper Darge ready for role against the French says Tandy

THERE'S NO CAP ON WHAT RORY CAN DO

RORY DARGE is poised for a dramatic return to action against France on Saturday after six weeks on the sidelines with injury.

The Scotland co-skipper has not played since damaging a knee in Glasgow's clash with Edinburgh the day before Hogmanay.

But the flanker looks certain to return to the squad in place of Luke Crosbie, who has been ruled out of the rest of the Six Nations after damaging a shoulder in the second half of the dramatic win over Wales.

Lock Richie Gray will also miss the remaining four games after injuring his biceps in the first half of the 27-26 victory in Cardiff.

Grant Gilchrist, who missed last week's game through suspension, is available and seems sure to come in as a  straight replacement for Gray.

Assistant coach Steve Tandy last night admitted Gray and Crosbie would be "sorely missed".

But he has no doubt they have got good cover - and every confidence that Darge will make his comeback.

He said: "We wouldn't throw Rory in if we didn't feel that he was ready.

"He's trained and he's looking good. All being well in the rest of the training week he'll be available.

"He's done it before, after injuries. Knowing Rory and the guy he is, how diligent he is and how he looks at and studies the game, we have no doubts.
