YOUNG SCOT'S GRAMMY SLAM

SCOTS Grammy winner Blair Ferguson picked up his gong in LA wearing a tuxedo and a pair of Saltire socks as a nod to his home country.

The 20-year-old music producer, whose career began in his Glasgow bedroom as a teenager, won a Grammy award for his work on SZA's smash hit Snooze.

The song peaked at No2 on the US Billboard charts in July and is the only track to have spent the whole of 2023 in the Billboard Hot 100.

Blair, who worked on the track in a makeshift studio in the attic of his aunt's Kelvindale home, said it was "incredible" to be a winner at the Grammys representing Scotland.

Blair, who has also worked with Diddy, 24kGoldn, and Justin Bieber, added: "It came from a very weird time in my life.

"I was staying at my aunt's house and was trying to find my place in the industry. The idea was founded there and it grew arms and legs and now we're standing here.

"Being from Scotland, there are lots of incredible people I want to collaborate with like Noah Kahan and Boy Genius.

There's a whole world out there I want to venture into.

"I want more Grammys.

I am still young and getting more is the only way to do it." Blair, who is mentored by legendary R&B producer Carter Lang, was also up for awards for his contributions to work in other categories, including
