ANGE POSTECOGLOU says the pain of Tottenham's 6-3 thrashing by Liverpool has been weighing "heavily" on him over Christmas.

Spurs have the chance to make amends for Sunday's home humiliation when they travel to Nottingham Forest today.

Manager Postecoglou, whose wife Georgia and young sons Max and Alexi are in Australia, let his players spend most of Christmas Day with their families.

Big Ange was mostly on his own before that and, apart from phoning his loved ones Down Under, was left to mull over the previous weekend's disappointment.
